Custom Dragon Tail

Whew, finally finished! This tail was a commission from a client with a very specific design. Her dragon character had some insanely detailed markings, and since the character's marking's only show up in moonlight, she wanted them removable. So I broke out the velcro strips, sewing machine, and a needle and thread, and got cracking. Many MANY days later, this was the end result. Obviously since the person wearing the tail isn't actually a dragon, some allowances had to be made. The tail needed to be the right length so it didn't drag on the floor, and the markings needed to be made slightly thicker so there would be enough velcro to grip properly and adhere strongly. All in all though, I think it ended up being a pretty good translation of the original design, and the client seemed very happy.

Definitely the most ambitious sewing project I've worked on to date. I can see this is going to be an addiction though....I've got my sights set on doing a custom hoodie for a friend next! ^u^
